Project Emanuel consists of big charcoal drawings, a performance and an essay. In 2012 I took a course on Artistic Research at Konstfack which resulted in a work about the Swedish mystic Emanuel Swedenborg. After a lot of close reading, writing and drawing, the project led to A Meal in Swedenborgs Summerhouse, a performance composed of three acts: Cooking Show, Talk Show and Ritual. The performance took place in the replica of Swedenborg’s Summerhouse at Södermalm in Stockholm, Sweden.
