Correspondences III (2023) is a series of monotypes inspired by the nature, from a one month long residency, in the small village Stöðvarfjörður on the East Coast of Iceland. I was enchanted by the mountains, by the fjord and the skies. The changes of weather, colors and shapes was so different from everything else I experienced - and I've been to many diverse places on our earth. The monotypes are like automatic paintings, painted on a plate and then printed. It becomes series since i use the traces of color left after the first print to inspire me for the next one. The paper size is either 42x30cm or 32x30cm.
